I’ve been meaning to take this sort of shot for ages, but finally got around to it today!

The volume of yellow fields around us is amazing, and yet finding one with the right sort of vista is incredibly hard – ideally I just wanted a dead tree in the middle, how hard is that?? This makes up for it though, but I had to jump a fence or two to get it. It’s a slight HDR, meaning I’ve layered different shots together to get the sky looking like it did to the eye at the time all very nice!!

Pompey detail.

A trip down south and a return to Portsmouth. It’s been a while since I’ve been back, and we took the chance to wander along the sea front and take in the sights, and in the middle of Old Portsmouth is the cathedral. I’ve never really taken much notice of it before, but it is a pretty impressive building, made even nicer by the late evening sun cloaking it in a warm glow. It had this fantastic door detail which was just out of the sun, but still looks fab.

Blue skies and jaunty angles!

I have no idea what this sculpture is supposed to be (chicken?), but I’ve wandered past this church a hundred times, so I was pretty surprised when I popped in to find a nice little peace garden, complete with this art ┬áin the middle. It was a beautiful day too and a nice bit of blue sky always cheers the soul, so I was a happy chap!
